Dyson DC25 Vacuum Cleaner – Facts You Might Not Know

Dyson DC25 Vacuum Cleaner – Facts You Might Not Know

Dyson DC25 Vacuum Cleaner – Facts You Might Not Know

Posted: 09 May 2011 08:20 AM PDT

While it is true that the Dyson DC25 vacuum cleaner is used by millions of users around the globe, it is only imperative that you educate yourself on what this upright vacuum can do for you before you decide to purchase it… or otherwise.

Size and Weight

There are some write-ups that claim this model supersedes Dyson’s other model categories such as the DC07, DC14, DC15 and DC17, in terms of size and weight. Slimmer and lighter than those models, the DC25 can fit snugly in a corner in your storage and does not command much effort to move around.

Features

One of the perks of this model is the incorporation of the cyclonic technology that in turn contributes to its high suction power in relation to other vacuums. Basically, there are two reasons that contribute to this ability.

Firstly, with the cyclonic technology, dust and allergens are sucked (and stored) into a cylinder of the vacuum, eliminating the need for bags or filters used in others, such as canister types of vacuums. With bags and filters, the tendency for a vacuum to lose its suction power is greater as these bags/filers become full or worse, clogged after use over a period of time.

Another potential hazard that can crop up after those bags/filters become full is that dirt or allergens may be circulated back into the surrounding air, as they are not able to accommodate any more filth.

The DC25 is different in that it has a clear cylinder in which dirt would be stored. This clarity of the cylinder is an advantage in itself as you would be able to see when it is full of filth and change it if necessary (which is not that often).

What might slip the minds of some consumers is also the fact that using bags and filters carry economical drawbacks, not to mention inconvenience. As you need to replace these bags and filters, you might also find difficulty as they can be discontinued when the vacuum models are no longer in production.

Ease of Use

Unlike many other vacuums, the model sits on a ball, allowing the user to move it around corners or under furniture, simply with a twist of his wrist.

As it has a lower center of gravity, it is also a recommended model if you want to avoid back problems. To further ease cleaning, there is the 16-foot telescopic wand that helps the user reach those dreaded oh-so-difficult-to-reach places.

Objectively, the Dyson DC25 vacuum cleaner is not a cheap model but before you decide, consider its durability and reliability – it is a cleaner that you can rely on for a very long time, based on the features described above. Yes, its price is a little steep… definitely for a reason.

Dyson Ball Vacuum Reviews – Is It Worth the Price?

The Dyson Ball Vacuum has a unique design that works. Have you ever tried to push a vacuum with four wheels around curves and corners it is a bit like trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. You wind up bumping into walls and furniture and scuffing them up. Dyson decided to do something about it by creating a vacuum that relied on a ball so that it could rock and roll in any direction with very little effort.

A Word about Dyson

Dyson manufactures vacuums and other equipment that can be used in the home. This is an innovative company that projects a some what sophisticated image. James Dyson is the founder of the Dyson range of products and was the first to apply the cyclone technology to vacuum cleaners after over 5000 prototypes the first cyclone technology vacuum was invented. This innovative company has continued to astound consumers with products that make more sense than what they are using today.

Adding a ball to the bottom of a vacuum came about because James Dyson had previously created a wheel barrow that used this same ball technology and was met with great success it was easier to use and did not sink into soft surfaces as traditional wheel barrows do. He applied the same technology to the Dyson Ball Vacuum.

How it Works

The Dyson Ball Vacuum rests on a large yellow ball instead of the traditional four wheels. Pushing the vacuum around on the ball means that the range of motion is increased ten fold. The heavy ball is glass reinforced and houses the motor, the ball sits further down than the traditional motor housing on a vacuum making the center of gravity distributed differently and much easier to push!

Dyson Vacuum Cleaners – What Makes Them Unique?

Dyson Vacuum Cleaners – What Makes Them Unique?

Dyson Vacuum Cleaners – What Makes Them Unique?

Posted: 04 May 2011 09:00 PM PDT

In 1991, James Dyson revolutionized the vacuum cleaner industry with his innovative cyclonic vacuums. Never before had anyone implemented centrifuge technology to create a vacuum that would have no loss of suction. This was only the first of many original, industry changing ideas to come from the Dyson team.

What makes a Dyson vacuum unique is the patented Root Cyclone™ technology at its heart. Up to 200,000 g-forces are used to expel dirt and dust as small as.5 microns from the air stream. That air is then directed through three additional layers of filtration, the final layer being a HEPA filter to remove particles down to the.3 micron size, that’s smaller than most household dust, pet dander, mold, pollen and other common irritants. There are no bags to clog and reduce suction. Another up side to a bagless vacuum over a conventional vacuum is that it does not harbor odors. The dust bin is emptied after each use and the permanent filters are washed periodically, leaving the exhaust air not only cleaner, but smelling fresher.

Dyson pioneered the clear dust bin design with the premise that the user would want to see that their vacuum was cleaning as it should. They were right! One of the most gratifying things about using a Dyson vacuum is the ability to see how much dirt you are removing from your environment, particularly if you have indoor pets. Many other brands have copied the clear bin design, but lack the cyclonic technology behind it to duplicate the performance of a Dyson, even those claiming to have “cyclonic” action fall well short of the mark.

Dyson entered the marketplace as an innovator and they have never stopped improving their designs and features. They are constantly pushing the boundaries of what a vacuum should be. Through intelligent design, they are making vacuums more powerful, more versatile, and most importantly, easier to use. The wand, hose, and accessories stow neatly onboard and deploy effortlessly for quick pick-ups or above floor cleaning needs. The wand and hose extend up to 12 feet from the vacuum for an unprecedented cleaning radius and freedom of movement. It was Dyson who saw that vacuums were clumsy and awkward to use, and set about ways to make them steerable to improve maneuverability of the vacuum and reduce stress on the user… enter the Dyson Ball.

Regular servicing of a Dyson vacuum couldn’t be easier. Dyson vacuums are designed to be user-friendly, so you don’t have to take your vacuum to a service center for minor maintenance tasks. All the major components are simply locked into place and released with the push of a button or pull of a trigger. The filters are readily accessible for inspection and washing. Dust and dirt passages have multiple access points to aid cleaning in the event of a clog.

Dyson vacuums are made of durable materials and rigorously tested to make sure the vacuums will provide the user with a well-built, long-lasting vacuum that will provide high performance throughout its life span, then backs them with a 5 year warranty. It is refreshing to see a company set such high standards for both itself and its products, and who thinks that there is always room for improvement… and that is what makes Dyson vacuum cleaners so unique!

Are Dyson the Best Vacuum Cleaners That Money Can Buy?

Are Dyson the Best Vacuum Cleaners That Money Can Buy?

Posted: 03 May 2011 03:40 AM PDT

When James Dyson set out to create a bagless vacuum cleaner driven by just a cyclone of air he started on a path that would revolutionise the way vacuum cleaners looked and worked forever. Whilst more expensive than the vast majority of their competitors Dyson cleaners promise uncompromising suction from the moment you switch it on. It is in absolutely no doubt that many other manufacturers have witnessed the performance from the range of Dyson hoovers and many have brought out similar bagless models. These competitors are usually at a lower price point than the equivalent Dyson cleaner so is there still a reason to purchase the more expensive Dyson model?

Advantages of Bagless Vacuum Cleaners

All Dyson hoovers are bagless which has a number of advantages over bagged cleaners. Anyone over a certain age will almost certainly remember the old vacuums used from twenty to thirty years ago. These were commonly either upright cleaners or cylinders that had very few attachments and tended to lose suction quite quickly. You then had to take the device outside whilst the bag was removed, if you did it inside you’d end up scattering dirt and dust everywhere again which kind of defeated the purpose, and then replace the half full bag you’ve just removed with a new one. Bagless hoovers, like all Dyson models, are much simpler to use. As there is no bag the dust and dirt is gathered in a, usually, see through container and once full is simply removed from the vacuum and taken outside to the rubbish where it is emptied with very little fuss or mess. Bagless vacuum cleaners, like the Dyson models, do not lose suction so you can continue to use them until they are full. You do not have to replace expensive bags so the running costs are lower and it is easy to remove the dust container and clean it ocassionally to keep it looking like new.

Should You Buy Dyson Instead of a Competitor

Given that the majority of Dyson’s competitors quickly caught onto the revolution they worked tirelessly to catch up with the pioneer and soon began to release competitive models. One downside of a Dyson vacuum cleaner is the price as they tend to be a bit more expensive than other brands. Dyson have managed to retain their number one position however as the recognised brand leader by boasting ever improving suction along with other enhancements such as the rollerball vacuum cleaner. This model replaced the traditional base unit with a roller ball, the idea being that the hoover became instantly easier to maneuver than traditional models. So the end result comes down to brand versus price.

Is the Dyson DC15 Animal Worth the Money?

Is the Dyson DC15 Animal Worth the Money?

Is the Dyson DC15 Animal Worth the Money?

Posted: 01 May 2011 10:40 PM PDT

The Dyson DC15 Animal is powerful, easy to maneuver, and, like many upright vacuums, more effective on rugs and carpet than most canister vacuums. Consumer reviews of the Dyson DC15 Animal Cyclone upright vacuum cleaner are generally very positive although there are several issues on which there is some criticism.

Ease Of Use

Consumers particularly favor the model’s ball navigation, a concept by which the Dyson DC15 moves about on a single ball, making it easier to maneuver around corners and furniture than is usually the case with the conventional upright. At almost 20 lbs, the DC15 isn’t a lightweight but it is still light enough for most households. As far as stairs are concerned, the extension wand is reported to be very effective and the Dyson DC15 receives high marks for ease in dumping the contents of the canister. According to a number of independent vacuum cleaner reviews the model is extremely easy to use in almost all respects.

Power Issues

Consumer reviews addressing the power and suction of the Dyson DC15 Animal Cyclone tend to be a bit subjective, as might be expected. Some consumers indicate the suction to be superior to that of other vacuums while others express the opinion that it is not as powerful as other Dyson models. It should be noted however, that the Dyson Cyclone technology is regarded as being quite innovative and effective, resulting in a product line featuring some very powerful vacuums.

Noise Issues

Another set of consumer comments that tend to be on the subjective side has to do with the noise of the vacuum. There are several comments indicating that the DC15 has an unusual whine. This seems to bother some people and not bother others. The general consensus however is that the vacuum is neither more nor less noisy than other vacuums.

Price Range

According to many consumer comments, sticker shock tends to evaporate once the vacuum is put to use, with most purchasers being surprised and highly pleased by the amount of dirt picked up from rugs and carpets initially believed to be “clean”. A top-of-the-line model, the DC15 is priced in a range from $579 to $599, and therefore isn’t an impulse shopper’s usual pick. In any event it’s always a good idea to study a few vacuum cleaner reviews before making a purchase of this amount. The price however is not out of line for a quality vacuum. Unfortunately this model is fairly old now and refurbished units are often all that can be easily found. These typically go for $200 to $300.

Features

The Dyson DC15 has a 0.71 gallon dust bin and a lifetime certified HEPA filter, meaning it will trap the very smallest of particles rather than recirculating them back into the air. The unit also comes with a low-reach floor tool and an optional mini turbine head for removing pet hair from confined spaces. The DC15 carries a 5-year warranty.

Availability

The DC15 isn’t listed by most of the major retailers, however there are a number of Internet discount retailers that offer the model.

Russia is well known to be “land of stuff”.

There are many ancient – style products produced in Russia – products, which have very long history.

For example, let us review history of Russian shawls.

At ancient Rus, women should not walk somewhere with un-covered head. This tradition was common before Christianization and continued after Russia accepted Christianity from Eastern Rome Empire (Byzantine). According Eastern Rome Christianity, Orthodox Christian women should not enter to the church with not covered head.

This fact caused popularity of shawls in Russia – and they are very popular till nowadays.

Predecessor of Shawl was Ubrus – common wear for many Indo-European nations.

Ubrus is the veil – was a cloth kerchief made of linen or fine silk. It was often embroidered in a colored pattern at the ends.

It was wrapped around the head and went under the chin where it was pinned together. One of the ends hung down to the shoulder.

It was approximately 2 meters long and 40-50 cm wide. The veil was either pulled down low on the brow or tied up higher so that the front part of the povoinik could be seen for a little more ornamentation” (Stamerov, 1978; in Kiev`, 2000).

Tradition to wear Ubrus is still common in many Salvonic nations, it is still used at India and has a long history, which is not well known, but probably come to the days of eldest Middle East civilizations.

Another example of specialty Ethnic goods is Russian perfumes and Eau De Colognes.

Let us say, Troynoi (Triple) Eau De Cologne.

It is known due to the fact it is father of all Eau De colognes – it is original “Cologne water” produced due to Napoleon decree of 1810.

This scent was very popular – Napoleon used it too and during war of Napoleon with Russian Czar first Eau De Cologne appeared at Russian Empire.

In 25 years since Napoleon invasion Henry Brocar – French living at Moscow, established perfumeryfactory and most popular Eau De Cologne produced was “Scent of Napoleon” – Troinoy.

And – surprise – scent remained practically unchanged since Napoleonic war – it is in fact, the same since 1810 !

Scent include Lemon, Bergamot, Neroli. Name Troinoi (Triple in Russian) was given exactly due to 3 scents used. Even label and bottle still made in old traditions of 19th century Brokar factory. This Eau De Cologne was very popular in Napoleonic times Russian army, than – at 1st worls war times army, and finally – Russian revolution have not destroyed this scent – it was popular and still popular in Russian army.

Same as of still produced perfume “Red Moscow”. Before revolution this scent was named “Favorite Bouquet of Empress”. And it was really so – they was named this way due to the fact, it was favorite scent of Katherine the Great!

Interesting history stands behind Russian Linen – made table runners. Issue is – they embroidered with same technique as thousands years ago and there are many special symbols embroidered. Scientists still does not know for sure – what does that symbols mean.

Long time ago, before Christian times, that symbols had religious meaning. Russian linen – made items (and Russian linen is still best in the world) was used for special purposes, and still used for wedding, for baptizing child. Symbols were religious, but persons who embroider them nowadays hardly know all the meaning – usually they follow traditions of ancestors.
